Fort Worth [Fort Worth]
a city in the US state of ↑Texas. It is very close to ↑Dallas, and the Dallas-Fort Worth Airport is one of the largest in the world. Fort Worth contains the Texas Christian University, the Kimball Art Museum and the Cattleman’s Museum, and its opera house and orchestra are well known. It is a centre for the oil, gas, electronics and aircraft industries. It was settled in 1843 and soon became the last stop for ↑cattle being moved to ↑Kansas.
